Local, Single-Ended, Traveling-Wave Fault Location on Distribution Systems Using Frequency and Time-Domain Data

چکیده
This work proposes a signal-based fault location method combining both time and frequency-domain features. The is based on the Traveling Wave (TW) detection analysis, only employs 100 microseconds of data around TW time-of-arrival to measuring location. Time-domain features are extracted using Mathematical Morphology, while obtained Stationary Wavelet Transform. IEEE 34 nodes system selected for demonstration. performed Dynamic Mode Decomposition. exhaustively analyzes performance proposed in classification regression tasks. Combining proven be more effective than each type feature independently. In addition, sensitivity noisy measurements lesser amount training analyzed as well. this compared other works same test system, showing better accuracy methods. Furthermore, has low estimation error rate across entire length feeder shows similar slower phasor-based
